Established in 2008 and headquartered in Newbury, PassivSystems has developed the innovative PassivEnergy home energy management system. PassivEnergy is the only home energy management solution for the direct control and monitoring of legacy heating and hot water systems, leading to a 23% reduction in household energy use. The system also acts as a control system for domestic microgeneration from PV, solar thermal or ground source heat pumps and thus enables homeowners to maximise benefits from feed-in-tariffs. PassivSystems is working with energy efficiency service providers, retailers and energy supply companies which offer these services to their customers alongside other home energy efficiency improvement measures.
